DESCRIPTION:The Racial Healing of America Revival and Bus Tour will bring together people of faith and goodwill from various ethnic backgrounds to publicly promote racial healing\, biblical justice\, and to advance social peace across America. The revival and bus tour will take place July 9-17\, 2023\, starting in Dallas (TX)\, with stops in Memphis (TN)\, Birmingham (AL)\, Charleston (SC)\, and ending in Washington (DC). The revival services will include featured speakers and congregational singing in each city. The tour participants will visit the International African American Museum in Charleston and the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington.

DESCRIPTION:The Carter G. Woodson Presentation Competition is a way to recognize the impact of African American studies on the United States. Over many years Black History has been seen as a sub point to the greater American History even though it provides many of its greatest accomplishments. Through this competition\, students will show their knowledge of the texts and of outside influences that directly affect the way the Black community has developed within this country. A scholarship will be awarded to the three recipients that demonstrate a coherent understanding of Dr. Woodson and his work. We will march single file in a Prayer vigil around the Lunsford Trail as a moment to remember ACU’s painful past and to celebrate ACU’s courage to do the right thing!
